Plein Air Flower Painting with Amy Brnger at Nooney Farm, Kittery, Maine August 23, 9:00-1:00 pm

Amy is offering a one day in-person painting event at the fantastic, flower filled Nooney Farm in Kittery, Maine (22 Stevenson Road).  Bring your outside paint supplies and paint flowers galore at this Kittery Land Trust flower and vegetable farm.  You can incorporate landscape or architectural subjects if you like, and have a great time working spontaneously and enjoy being outside in late summer (rain date will be Sunday, 8/25/24).

The workshop starts at 9:00 a.m. (you can come earlier and set up, if you'd like) and Dot from Nooney Farm will walk you around the farm and then Amy will complete a demo of flowers in the garden.  After that, you are free to paint and Amy will visit and provide constructive feedback. Participants can have lunch at picnic tables at 1:00 pm under the shade of a big tree and talk about the paintings made in the morning. 

BONUS: Nooney Farms is generously gifting all participants a bouquet from the farm (cut your own)!

DETAILS

Painters will bring their own materials to the workshop (easel, paints, brushes, palette and knife, etc) plus an umbrella or hat as it is a full sun location. Bring water and lunch as well!

Please be prepared to be independent with the set up and take down of your easel and all materials.  Participants will park in the lot as you enter the farm and bring your materials to a painting location at the farm. Having a small cart or several bags/five gallon pails is a nice way to bring your painting supplies in and out.

Cancellation Policy

100% refund minus 3% credit card processing fee can be made if you cancel by August 20, 2024.  50% refund (+ CC fee) will be made if cancellations are made by August 21, 2024.  After that, no refunds will be made.

Rain Date

If the workshop gets rained out, the rain date is Sunday, August 25, 2024, 9-1:00. 

 Supply List

Will send to participants after registration, but bring the paints and materials that you like to work with!
